C46400 Naval Brass "Nonleaded"

Naval Brass C46400 is nominally composed of 60% copper, 39.2% zinc and 0.8% tin. Typical of brass alloys with a biphasic α + β structure, C46400 has good strength and stiffness. High corrosion resistance to seawater is achieved by replacing an equivalent amount of zinc with tin. The addition of tin also gives the alloy an inherent resistance to dezincification, which further inhibits the impact of seawater at higher than normal temperatures. The alloy is also known for its resistance to wear, fatigue, abrasion and stress corrosion cracking.

C89550 nonleaded brass rod
C89550 is a nonleaded bismuth and selenium-containing brass casting alloy called EnviroBrass alloy, which contains (wt% ): 58.0~64.0 Cu, 32~38 Zn, 0. 6~1.2 Bi. They are used in water supply parts such as faucets, ball valves, control valves, diverter, temperature control spools, connectors and PEX fittings.
